Entry to our School Sunflower Challenge 2010 is now closed. All schools who entered before the deadline will receive their packs during the weeks commencing April 26th or May 3rd.
Frosts ‘Grow Your Own with Schools’ scheme has been created for schools to educate children about the importance of growing and cultivating plants; and how to have fun doing so. Our first event is the Sunflower Challenge, where we will invite your pupils to grow the tallest Sunflower possible.
During the course of growth, we would encourage teachers to post their ‘Growing Gardeners’ progress to us so we can keep all schools updated on each others progress. In August or September – depending on the British summer weather – we will be asking for each school’s final biggest sunflower measurement. Each school will receive a prize for their individual winner plus there will be an overall winner for each area.
