Bunny wunnies have the potential to reduce all keen vegetable growers to tears. I saw these paw prints whilst pulling some leeks when we had snow back in January and after conferring with the wonderful team at Greensands, the very friendly vets in Woburn Sands, I identified the owner of said paw prints as almost certainly having big ears, protruding front teeth, grey fur and four paws. Last year none of my carrots were more than 3 cm in length or wider than a cotton bud — i.e. they were a total and utter disaster.
I have now fitted netting around the whole allotment and unless Peter Rabbit and his chums learn to pole vault or parachute, things should be better this year, provided I remember to shut the gate.
